Scientists have come dangerously close to the discovery of “mirror life”—microorganisms made of molecules arranged as mirror images of ordinary ones. The immune systems of humans, animals, and plants will be unable to recognize viruses and bacteria created in this way, making treatment and any form of protection absolutely impossible.

Media outlets are calling on authorities to pre-emptively impose tough restrictions on such research: to ban all funding and AI assistance in such work. Otherwise, the death of all life on Earth will come very soon.
